Eleventh of September

I stopped to get a Karuba coffee and was heading out to Devil's Lake in Betty, my Integra. It was a gorgeous morning... kinda like this morning. Clear sky, except for a few stretched out wisps here and there, no haze on the bluffs, cool breeze, and most of all, sunshine. I first heard it on the radio at around half past seven in the morning. I can't even tell you if I noticed the first time they started talking about it because I was so wrapped up in the perfect Autumn morning, local people, and landscape that I wasn't paying much attention to what Donnie Baker was blathering on about. It wasn't until I rounded the second Glenville Dam curve that I heard what was being said. I keep flashing back to that one morning in my life and wonder if we can ever get back to that certain pleasure, contentment, and peace of mind again. I miss sense of adventure people had at that time. I know people can't forget something so tragic, but if we don't put it behind us it will continue to eat away at everything we love and charish. We need to rid ourselves of all hostility and malice, move on with strength and pride, and help the weaker of us to do the same.

The Hunger Games

I'm trying to do more reading and less viewing, but I am still a huge fan of film and it's industry.
The Hunger Games, Book 1
Impressions of Chapter 1

Just to be clear in the beginning, I have not seen the movie and don't plan on it until I'm done reading all the books in this series. So, please, no spoilers in the comment section. I'm trying to do more reading and less viewing, but I am still a huge fan of film and it's industry.

In the first chapter it's pretty obvious to me that Kat could accept Gale's offer and take the whole family as well. I highly doubt that a government of lazy socialites that would rather see people dead and NOT have to feed them would go to the trouble and effort to hunt them down in a vast wilderness. They both pack in plenty of food per day with their hunting and gathering expertise.

Blog Virgin No More

The way I see it; why waste good paper on bad writing?

Greetings, and welcome to my first and only "blog." What's up with this guy? Welcome to the nineties, right. I'm not much of a writer, but wanted to create an outlet for when I feel inspired to write more than just a Facebook headline, or when I want to write about something that most people feel is useless and trivial. Whatever. Anyway, thank you for being eccentric enough to follow what I might write down or blather on about. The way I see it; why waste good paper on bad writing?

I've tried again and again, and refreshed this blog several times in an attempt to be more observant but life has it's ways. I will continue trying to find things to write about, and more often. Until then, stay calm and carry a smartphone.
